ein paar von euch habens vielleicht schon mitbekommen... gestern nachmittag gabs in suedisland ein erdbeben...

well, there was an earthquake yesterday....

ja also jetzt hab ich auch mein erstes etwas staerkeres erdbeben (ueb)erlebt!

das ganze geschah um ca. 15:45 ortszeit. ich sass am klavier... als ploetzlich die lampen anfingen zu zittern... bei uns im haus liefen den ganzen tag schon bauarbeiten daher hab ich mir da erstmal nichts bei gedacht. dann wurde es allerdings immer staerker und als auch die waende deutlich schwankten wurde mir klar dass da nicht der teppich im zweiten stoch mit nem presslufthammer rausgerissen wird sondern die erde (und alles was drauf steht ;-) ) wackelt!! war ziemlich schnell wieder vorbei und passiert is nichts wirklich... die lampen haben noch ein e weile bedenklich geschewankt sind aber alle schoen obengeblieben... in der gegend von selfoss und hveragerði sind wohl ein paar regale umgekippt, scheiben zerbrochen, wasserleitungen kaputt gegangen, und die strasse hat nen riss (siehe fotos auf mbl.is)...  aber ansonsten hat island dieses erdbeben gut ueberstanden!

ca. 1,5 std. spaeter gab es noch mal zwei kleine nachbeben die zu spueren waren... allerdings langew nicht so heftig wie das erste! die waren dann eher so wie wenn zuhause der flughafenexpress vorbeifaehrt! ;-)

heute solls wohl evt. noch ein etwas staerkeres nachbeben geben... mal sehen was so kommt!!

yes people, now I survived my first earthquake! well, there are always small earthquakes in Iceland, but normaly you can't really notice them! well, at around 3.45 pm, I was sitting on the piano..., the lamps in the hall started shaking,... first I thought it was from the constructions work going on in the house, but then it got more and more and when even the walls started moving I knew it's the earth that's moving!!

but fortunately, nothing really happened... around selfoss and hveragerði (where the whole thing started) a cupboards fell over, windows are broken, and there's a gap in the road...(have a look at the pics at mbl.is)!

but besides that Iceland survived this earthquake ;-)

around 1,5h later there were two smaller earthquakes noticeable... but that was more like when the train is going by back home!!

there's supposed to be another one coming today... we'll see what happens!!!
